What is Bandwidth? every time you load a page that has music or a video imbedded, it uses bandwidth. For example, if a page has a song which is 10MB in size, every time that page is loaded it uses 10MB of bandwidth. If five people load that peice of music, it's 10 Megabytes (per video) time 5 (visitors), which equals 50 Megabytes.

The assigned amount the site where our videos and music is hosted is 2GB per month. That sounds like a lot, but most of the videos are around 100 Megabytes in size (that's about one tenth of a gigabyte). If 10 people visit videos, it uses 1 Gigabyte of bandwidth.

Due to TransfanCentral.com's incresaing traffic, we are beginning to find it harder to stay inside the assigned (free) bandwidth limits. Your contributions help to make it possible to continue having this section of the site.
