(04-30-10) The Nemesis Mark III is back up, hosted on another site (no longer here, sadly, I was unable to make it function.) But it has been redone, redesigned, and there are evedn some new discussion topics! I hope to see oyu all there! http://nemensismark3.websitetoolbox.com/
(04-29-10) I apologise for the Nemesis Mark III being down for so long. Unfortunately, due to irrevocable problems, it has been lost.
(09-12-09) I'm sorry to say I will no longer have internet acces at home. Therefore, I will most likely not be able to update (add new content) to the site for a while. The local library does not let me upload stuff to the internet. Although since today is my last day of having internet here at home, I have made my final site update a good one. I have uploaded four of the spotlight series comic scans. They are Hot Rod, Kup, Ultra Magnus, and Soundwave. Also, I will be adding a page with offsite content links, so I can still at least have people's stuff linked here, even if I can't add it to the site. This will also help later when I'm able to update again, as I'll just follow the links listed onsite and add the stuff then.
(06-14-09) ATTENTION: The dowloads section will be down today for updates till about 8pm. We're working on moving everything to a new location, and fixing some link problems in this section of the site. Thanks for your patience, and the Downloads will be back up again soon.
(03-25-09) ATTENTION: anyone who has fancharacters listed on the Ultimate Fancharacter List on this site, or is waiting for their character to be listed. The Ultimate Fancharacter List will no longer be on TransfanCentral.com. Well, not technicaslly. Har Har. It's now the Ultimate Fancharacter Wiki! That's right! I've gone and made a wiki! you can now add your own characters, make pages for them, and upload art to add to the profiles. You can find the wiki here: http://nemesis3.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page Also, you can find information on how to post your character profiles, make pages, lists, and all that on the Ultimate Fancharacter List Discussion/submission community on livejournal HERE Well, that's about it! I'll update again soon!
(03-20-09) Still working on the fiction. I thought you'd all like an update. Sorry I haven't been posting to the discussion community much. I've been a little busy. But I've gotten the fiction seperated into folders for (a lot) easier browsing.
(02-28-09) I've decided to redo the fanfiction section again. It turns out none of the page bottom links are working, and every time I go into the fanfiction folder, I have to guess which fanfic who wrote, or cross-reference it with my files. I thought "Why not just arrange the fiction by author and be done with it?" so, I'm working on organizing everything, then I'll upload to the site once everything is finished. The fanfiction section probably won't change any until mid-March. And it'll be quicker to change the files on my computer first then upload them, anyway.
(02-07-09) They're done! the theme menus are done and all uploaded!
(01-27-09) I've uploaded the panel content files to the site for the drop-down menu (ddm), so I don't have to copy all the ddm files to each folder.
(01-25-09) It's Baa-aack! That's right! the Nemesis Mark III Discussion Board is back! and it is now on the TransfanCentral.com's host server for good! I finally found a MySql database provider that's free and easy to use! so go, chat away! because it's now permanently part of the site. And there'll never be any worries about it being deserted by the site staff. LOL
(01-24-09) I finally finished getting the new layouts programmed. Now all I have to do is transfer all the index page content onto them, so they're the same as the default index page. I also found a couple of other themes I could possibly use for the site, but I'm not sure. :-)
12-27-08:
Wellll, this holiday season has been quite interesting! I started to move the site to another site host, just so I could add a discussion forum and fanfiction archiver, which turned out not to work so well. So, the site will be staying at it's original host: 110MB.com
Also, I have decided to keep the adult rated fiction, since I haven't gotten any complaints thus far about it's prescence. Yes, there will still be certain precautionary measures in place. I don't want anyone underage to be able to access it. I'm not exactly sure if the content requires such measures, but it is better to be safe than to be sorry. I've also written out a disclaimer of sorts, which expresses my opinion on the matter. If you have any questions on my opinion on the adult archive and why I am keeping it, please see the disclaimer
10-26-08:
*Grin* We've done it again! LadyStarscream has found another peice of TF music, this time the full version of "A Planet Worth Saving" and we're uploading it to the TF music section. We'll be working on getting it back up first, instead of the album music so you can hear it. Until then, it's on LadyStarscream's journal. :-)
10-26-08:
The Encyclopedia Cybertronia now has it's own discussion forum/submission page, so if you have any theories or info you'd like to add, you can visit the new livejournal community and put it up there. Yes, we know there's a TF wikipedia, but unlike them, we won't take down your stuff if it's disputed or just a theory. Hey, if you want to dispute the validity of something that's been submitted, go ahead! you can discuss it on the comm!
10-05-08:
Well, we're getting the music section redone and put back up., and we're happy to report we have several new music items to add to the music section. We now have about 16 albums, and some muscellaneous music as well. It's not TF-related, but it's more music for you to listen to!
09-16-08:
WE DID IT! I was going to add a fanfiction submission form, but it seems to be malfunctioning. If you want to submit your fanfiction, you can still visit our livejournal community. You don't have to be a member there, just post the fic info and the fic itself, and we'll add it to the site!
09-13-08:
just over 9,000 visitors, and some new stuff! the site is getting so big now, I'm going to have to start a new folder on the site's server just to hold all the extra fanfiction, art, and other new stuff on the site. Thank you all so very very much for making this little dream of mine come true. When I first wanted to have my own Transformers site, I never dreamed in a million years it would grow to be this huge. I can't express my gratitude enough to everyone who's contributed to this site, and made it so huge. Thank you.
Also, I'm considering doing something special when the site reaches 10,000 visitor (it's less than 1,000 clicks away, now.) But I'm not sure what I want to do just yet. If anyone has any ideas, you can visit the discussion board (blog) and post them there. You don't have to be a member to post to the TransfanCentral livejournal community.
Again, thak you, so, so, so much. And also thanks go out to my site staff for helping me out so very very much all through this year and the years before. You have helped make TransfanCentral.com a dream come true. *hugs all of you* Thank you SO much!
08-16-08:
We have a new section on the site! Through the Looking Glass: the other side of the mirror. It's based off the shattered glass reality, and it's a totally opposite reality from the original G1. That's right! Evil Autobots, Heroic Decepticons, and lots of fun! There isn't really that much to look at right now, but we hope you'll stop by the discussion forum and help us out!
08-12-08:
More than 7,000 hits! Thank You!
08-08-08:
It's Baaa-aaack! That's right! the Encyclopedia Cybertronia is back. Although right now we're just using it for the stuff we don't really have a place for. So far, there's lots of stuff. Episodes list, some boxart and character art LadyStarscream's had sitting around on her computer for a couple years, a lit of the hieghts of the 2007 movie transformers, the list of awards the 2007 movie was nominated for and won (yes, more than just the oscars!) there's even a list of Cybertronian cities, and look! it's the cybertronian alphabet! (Cybertron Atlantis Glyphs) Go check it out!
07-24-08:
Several new updates this time. TransfanCentral's domain has been re-registered for the next two years, so it's safe to say we're going to be around for a while! LOL! just kidding. also, we have reached 6,000 visitors! thank you!
07-03-08:
THE MUSIC VIDEOS ARE HERE!!!! That's right! Right now they're imbedded from YouTube, but that'll change as soon as I can get the actual vid files (the remaining ones) and get them uploaded to the TransfanCentral.com file host (which requires DSL) so it might take a while. There are 11 videos so far, and more are on the way!
06-28-08:
The toypics page is now up! The photos online are only half of LadyStarscream and HighRoad's combined collections, but the rest are on their way!
06-26-08:
W00H00! almost to 4500! wow! I think this is a record number of visitors this month! about a thousand in 24 days! wow!
06-24-08:
We now have information on the new Transformers movie, coming out in 2009. Revenge of the Fallen. Okay, so LadyStarscream found it while browsing Wikipedia, but go check it out! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers...
06-02-08:
Okay. I know that took too long. But the art section is up.
05-30-08:
Whew! it's been a long month! but the art section is finally ready to goup! Not all the review pages are done, although the desktop and art backgrounds are reviewable. And the desktop backgrounds are downloadable! and as an added bonus, each one comes with a set of icons LadyStarscream made especially for each background! go check it out!
04-15-08:
Well, the new music section is up. And, while LadyStarscream was looking for TF music to upload, she found some old sound clips from the G1 series and the movie. So she threw those in there, too.
04-14-08:
Wow! TransfanCentral just crossed the 2000 visitor mark! Thank You!
05-02-08:
Well, LadyStarscream is back from BotCon. Unfortunately, she got lost on the way there, and didn't get to the convention center till about 2 in the afternoon. But we have convention reports from several other people that cover the other days of the convention, and Saturday morning! :-)
04-02-08:
The new layout has been uploaded, and here it is! This will be (I think) the fourth layout for our homepage. Let us know what you think of it. Or if you liked one of our past layouts better, let us know. There are several ways you can. You can send an email to LadyStarscream@yahoo.com, or you can go to the "contact us" link on the left side of this page (in the site sections menu), or you can visit our blog, where it's easy to send in your stuff, if you have something you'd like to add to our site!
04-01-08:
I just saw the page hit counter, and I wanted to thank everyone who's been visiting the site, we now have over 1,000 pageviews!!! YAY!!!
03-23-08:
Just started on a new homepage layout that is more like other fansites, but keeping the star pattern for the background. I don't know if I'll be keeping this layout or not. I still have some kinks to work out with it before uploading it for everyone to see. Namely uploading the image files, putting in address programming (links) for the image-links, and and changing some of the image addresses from my hard drive location to the actual site location. More on this soon!
01-21-08: R and R-MA fiction section is fixed! and I've made sure all the links work. Also, while I was playing with my art programs, I realised just how sick I am of staring at our website's banner. To tell you the truth, I came about a hair's width from closing the site. My family complained that I wasn't spending enough time with them, trying to put up two sections at once, while updating and adding new fiction to the existing archives, then have link failures on all the pages (to the transwarp homepage) and somehow the webmaster of transwarp found out and let me know (he left a message on the transwarp discussion forum I visit frequently). So I was tired of looking at the banner, which said "5 years!!!" which it'll be six this coming August. :-) So I designed a new one.
01-20-08: D'OH!
01-19-08: *sigh* If there's not one thing, it's another. I've just discovered I forgot to change the link to Transwarp. Yeah. And I've accidentally erased a couple of the icon pages for the screencap archive. Oh, it's starting again. I need to be more carefull. What had happened was that I used one of the previously finished pages as a template so I could keep the same layout for the screencap information, and accidentally hit "save" instead of "save as", sigh. I'll have to redo them. No problem, just a couple pages behind is all. I'll get caught up, I'm sure. I still have to change those links, too.
01-07-08: There's a new section in the works! there were several updates missed, including why the age verification screen for the R rated fiction section kept sending the webmaster's name instead of the username of the person logging in. I finally realised it was because I was the one that had the password gate account (at bravenet). That small fiasco has been recorded on the livejournal community, http://community.livejournal.com/transfancentral.
12-20-07: Egads! how long has it been since this thing has been updated!?
11-15-07: I've started putting up a new fanfiction section, this one entirely for the adult readers in the fandom. Yes, a few of us are getting older, and there are some things that we just don't want our kids reading, whether it be for violence issues or other stuff. The new section is password protected, so only the webmaster (mself) will be able to give out access to it. I'll keep you updated on it as it goes up.
10-28-07: Drat. I've discovered a possible problem with the new site host. *groans*.
10-27-07: Well, I'm now starting on the adult area of the site. There's a few writers out there that are older, and have a bit more adult-oriented fiction. So I'm working on a protected area. The only problem is, I'm not sure how to verify age (like with electronic signatures), or log IP addresses. So I've resorted to using a password gate. More on this as it develops. (I've also written an entry in my personal blog about this, which explains the situation in more detail. if you want to read it, it's here: http://ladystarscream.livejournal.com
10-26-07: Hee. Updates! I'm very pleased to announce that with this update, there's 14 new fanfics, 4 updated fanfics (new chapters) and a new writer! Yay! Hunting Osprey has joined the writers of Transfancentral, adding her fanfic "Sins Of The Past" to our archive. It's kinda aimed at older readers (not young children), though. And it has a bit of violence (and picking on Jazz. LOL) But that's about it.
10-25-07: Well, I've finished transferring the fanfiction pages to the new site host. No more ads. (thank goodness!)
Also, the site is at 21,745. WOW! Thank you SO much for all the pageviews! over 20,000!
Also, I am going to get started on uploading the rest of the non-TF music (and TF Music) and get the site updated fully and completely.
It can be found here: http://www.transfancentral.com/boards/w-agora/index.php?site=thenemesismarkiii
TransfanCentral.com crossed the 10,000 visitor mark this morning! And, since the site has finally reached 10,000, I'm adding a couple of new features to the site. A new navigation menu under the banner that has menus for all the different Transformers serieses. I hope we can fill out the site, and add to these sections to make TransfanCentral a more well-rounded Transformers site.
Thirdly, LadyStarscream is working one the screencap archive search index, and we have som new art to add, and a new section for our fanfiction archive! enhanced fiction! this includes any art that has music or art that goes with it. We'll also be updating the fanfiction menus, and adding in any RP logs, co-written stuff, and things we might have missed before.
Well, I think that's it for this update!
More later!
Sorry, had to shorten the link. But anyway, there it is. Just beware of the spoilers!
Also, we just passed the 3,000 visitor mark! Wow! Thank you all so much again!
The fanart section is still being worked on, but there's been too many mistakes with links, LadyStarscream is trying to go slower to catch any mistakes she might make.
Also, the problem with malfunctioning links in the convention reports section has been fixed! You can now browse the pages and photos without having "page not found" errors. :-)
GUESS WHO GOT THEIR OLD SITE NAME BACK!
Yay!!!! We Did, We Did! *dances around*
Eheheheh. The new banner looked a bit... bare. So I added the words as a subtitle: "the Transfanatic Homepage" Before Transfancentral was TransfanCentral, we were the Transfanatic Homepage.
Yes, the very first year this site was on the internet. And that was all the way back in 2001. before the 5 year count started. (it started when LS changed the site's name to TransfanCentral)
Today, I worked on the fanfiction pages, since the old banner said "fanfiction" on it, and the new one doesn't, cause the old banner was only for the fanfiction section. This new one is for everywhere on the site. All the pages. So I have to go put a subtitle image on the fiction pages and menus and all that. Joy, yeah, I know. :-(
I got the links fixed on ficlist 5b, wait, I think I allready said that. I've also fixed the transwarp link on the fanfiction search menus for the main fiction section, but I still have somwhere around 800 pages to go. *thud* I'm, also simultaneously working on finishing the search menus for the adult fiction section, the menu pages for the screencaps, and working on the transwarp links, subtitle, and cpywright info on all the other pages. The copywright information, which was just written at the bottom of all the pages now need to be updated, since it is now 2008. So I've decided on an image that can simply be replaced with an updated version instead of trying to reprogram hundreds of pages. I think that's it. If you would like more information on updates, and what's going on, you can visit the transfancentral community on livejournal, or ladystarscream's personal journal on livejournal.com. The address for both are further down on this page. More later.
#$%%!!!
RG just informed me an entire page of fanfiction has quit working. *headdesks* it is ficlist 5b. Once you go through the age verification page to log in to the R and R-MA section of the fanfiction archive, it will take you to ficlist 5b. It seems the addresses to the fiction were altered, and the correct addresses for them were never added.I'll have to do that.
So if you ever miss an update, just ckick on the link for a fuller updte. The community has everything from weekly updates to what's going on with the site. Now, on to the new section!
The screencaps are coming! that's right! I've begun work on the screencap archive. and although the search menus aren't finished in the adult fiction section, I've gone ahead and started putting icons on pages that will link directly to the image file. There won't be any descriptions with the image files, however. This time around, it's just too much work. TransfanCentral has grown ti a ginormous size, and now spans over 1,000 pages. It's starting to look like it used to again! yay!
Well, let's see.... in November, or thereabouts, Rampage's Girl started helping out with testing links for the new fiction section and the links on some redone fanfiction pages. She went through more than 50 pages! wheeee! She also found tons of links that would have been a major problem. Also, Transwarp now has it'
s own domain! it's transwarp.info! so I'll have to change those links, too. Anyways, OpjettusPrime has left the staff because of his work on his photography business, and has only contributed to what should go onto the site, about onvce a month or so. So RG (Rampage's Girl) has taken his place as assistant webmaster.
No, not something move-worthy. Oh, definitely not. It's just a matter of uploading pages that allready exist on the web server, and not having them overwrite. And there's no checkbox that you can choose to overwrite or not. So I thought the uploaded pages would automatically overwrite the old ones when they were uploaded to the site. It appears to be just the opposite. Pages that I upload to the site (that are updated versions of the existing ones) are not overwriting the existing pages.
This means almost all of the search menus and a few of the fanfiction pages may have not updated. I'm going to check this out further tomorrow. I can't tonight because it's about bedtime for me. But if the pages haven't been updated, this could mean problems with the links, story listings, and the search pages. Something else I forgot to mention, too. I've allready added all the most recent updated pages to the main archive folder on my computer, so I won't know which onew were uploaded, unless I go through the site archives and check the date on every page, or just re-upload every single page on the site (again.) I have learned a shorter way of uploading, which is good, but if I do a mass upload and one of the pages doesn't take, I won't know it. It's either that or upload all 485 pages three at a time. *facepalms* Oh well. I have gotten some placeholders made for the other sections of the site. And I got a review form, so people can send in reviews for fanfics. I just can't put the link to it on every fanfiction page. (ha ha. Very funny suggestion.) I'm not going to go into detail on it, or this update just might end up a mile long, but I have good news, also. I finally got the new index page uploaded, though. So the main page is redesigned, uploaded, and finished. Now to link the dot com address to it. (tomorrow).
