On Moonbase-1, the Autobots have been spying on the Decepticons, who now rule Cybetron. He orders a shuttle to go to Earth to get energon to fuel theirarmy and try to retake their home planet.	Unfortunately, in an asteroid field, the Decepticons, who knew about the shuttle thanks to Laserbeak spying on the Autobots, come busting into the shuttle, and shoot everyone on board.
The Decepticons plan on using the shuttle to get past the Earth's defenses and launch an attack on Autobot City, the last Autobot stronghold. (some scenes ommited for violent content)	Meanwhile, on Earth, a young Autobot named Hot Rod and Spike's son Daniel Wittwicky went fishing. Daniel's homing device detected an incoming shuttle, and the two rushed off to watch it land. Unfortunately, Kup was putting up a roadblock on that mountain because of some fallen rocks. But Hot Rod didn't seem to mind the roadblock.
They headed for Lookout Mountain, a sgihtseeing plateue near the landing pad.	While Daniel used the sightseeing binoculars, he spotted a hole in the shuttle.
Hot Rod switched on his telescopic vision and spotted Starscream.	He missed Starscream, but pegged the engines. The Decepticons knew their cover was going up in smoke, and bailed out to attack.
Starscream dive-bombed them on the way past, but they managed to duck out of the way.	Then Blitzwing decided to take care of Hot Rod and Daniel, while the rest of the Decepticons headed for the city.
