Rescue Me
(by LadyStarscream)

_____________________________________________________________

Author's Notes: I decided to do the songfic meme again, to warm up for NaNoWriMo. I was reading a crapload of fanfics where the decepticons for some reason or another had control of Cybertron, and, well, you guessed it. Anyway, the rest is pretty self-explanatory, in the first prompt.

Since my other 'verse is something like this (though the Ark was destroyed and the Ark-bots were taken prisoner, yadda yadda yadda) is the Hope's End Universe, I'm calling this one the Decepticon Victory series. Cause the Decepticons are victorious over Cybertron. And I was calling the other Universe the Hope's End/ Decepticon Victory Universe and it got kind of confusing.

Basically, both universes are eerily similar, except that this universe (Decepticon Victory) is purely G1, and does NOT have Megatron blowing up the Ark/winning the War, etc. It'll be prettymuch primarily fancharacters for now, though canon characters may show up in the future.

Hopefully nobody gets confused about the name of this ficseries (universe) of writing. A lot of the HeU characters will be showing up here, also.

Warnings: angst, darkfic, (fan)character death, (implied) slavery, not a happy fic!
(fan)characters: Lithos, Sahara, Runoff, Sidetrack, Stormfront(the con), mentions of Venturi
Place: takes place in Lepton & Meson, the twin cities (they're actually one city).

_____________________________________________________________

It had been Megatron's decree that sealed their fate. The Decepticons had gained control of Cybertron, and, as cruel as it sounded, anyone of Autobot heritage would be regulated to a... sevantile status. Well, more like a slave. Neutrals had 60 solar cycles to register through their local government, or would have to be certified by the local government after thast to keep from sharing the fate of any autobots on the planet. Anyone able to capture an Autobot would be able to register as their "owner", and the autobot would be marked with a tracking chip, as well as have papers drawn up for the "owner". to make sure there were no mistakes. Of course, some people would undoubtedly slip through the cracks, but the Decepticon leader felt like they should cross that bridge when they came to it, as the human saying went.

Dawn rose over the greyed city of Lepton, and the mech perched on the tower of the government building smiled. The dawn of a new day allways brought new promise, new hope. This city, as run-down as it had become, had become a haven for neutrals like himself. Well, those and Autobots in disguise. The city council leader, Venturi, despised Decepticons, though the twin cities's official standing was one of neutrality, supported by the Decepticons. Sure, the 'cons were nothing more than overglorified gansters who "provided protection" in return for the 'twin cities' (which were really one city now), of Lepton and Meson welcoming them with open arms and providing them with anything they desired. At a discounted price, of course.

Lithos smirked. Yes, his dark grey form blended nicely into the shadow cast by the rising suns. First rotation was beginning, and soon his city would awaken to a new day, and new hope.

He hoped.

"NO!" the female voice resonated off the buildings, drawing the dark flier's attention away from the rising sun. The femme struggled as the hulking mech grabbed her wrist painfully tight and started to drag her away. Her blue optice were wide and frightened. Lithos hissed in anger. Below him, another Autobot had fallen victim to the cruel Decepticon laws. The mech who she'd been taken from, a slightly smaller tank struggled against two mechs, more than twice his own size.

The charcoal flyer watching from above shook his head sadly. He wanted to intervene, but it was considered a capital crime. Neutrals (who had once been Autobots) had to have an optic refiltering, making their optics turn either green orpurple. Those weren't exactly standard neutral colors, but Venturi had fought servo and circuit to get the Decepticon government to agree to consider them neutrals. Since most Autobot/neutral creations had green optics, and most Decepticon/Autobot creations (as rare as they were) had purple optics.

The flier carefully considered the number of mechs and their size. One, he could knock off without trouble. But three? no chance. Not without someone seeing. He watched te mech backhand the femme "Shut up!" and continued to drag the whimpering femme down the street. That was when an ide came to the flier. He tracked the mech, and waited until he had said goodbye to his "friends", and was all alone before he attacked.

"What The-!" the mech's shout was cut off by the shot that hit his vocaliser. A half second later, the femme that ran screeched as she was grabbed around the wrist. "Shhh." the dark flier hushed, pulling her back, orange optics sparkling. "Help me with him." he motioned to the mech. "What-what are you going to do?" she asked, vopice small and frightened. "There's a smelting pit right over there. I can't carry him alone." The mech grabbed the Decepticon's arms.

"Won't..." the femme stopped. She was afraid to ask. She had been rescued, had her freedome back. She didn't want to go asking a bunch of questions and possibly jeapordise that.

As they carried the dead mech up the steps to the bubbling red pit, the mech asked, almost nonchalantly "So, do you have a name?"

"Umm... " the femme looked down at the black and yellow marked Decepticon.

"I'm... Sahara." The femme glanced up at him, almost questioningly. The mech nodded. "You don't have to worry. We're outside the city limits. The mech here can't be traced back to you. At least, I don't think so." he looked at the femme, maybe she had once been a flyer, but her alt. mode had been changed to some kind of car. the two dropped the mech on the loading platform and rolled him over into the red acid, which hissed and gurgled as the mech slowly dissapeared. "You should go get your mate and get out." the flier warned.

The femme looked at him, suprised. Had he been watching? did he want to take her as his slave? He smiled faintly. "tHere are people who can help those like you. You can get a new color scheme, even find a technician to change your optic color." he noticed her expression. "And yes, I was watching."

His comm beeped, a small light on his lower chest blinked. "I'm being paged." she looked over at the dissapearing body, then at him, then swayed like she was about to faint. "Woah, hey there." he caught her, helped her down the steps. "It'll be allright. Go. Find your mate. I'll find you later."

He took a couple steps to leave, but stopped and listened to the incoming message first. He then turned to the femme. "Change of plans. I will take you someplace safe and bring your mate to you. The protectorate knows." and with that, he picked her up and flew off.

===================

"No! Get away from me!" the mech had backed into a corner. "I allready told you," Lithos's voice was deathly calm. "I'm here to take you to your mate, she is free."

"I-I don't believe you!" the mech reached for a nearby gun.

Lithos sighed and the mech screamed, his hand pinned to the table by a small throwing dagger. "I wouldn't suggest doing that." The charcoal colored seeker said, taking two more steps towards him. But the dark orange carmech pried the knife free and reached into the case, his hand closing around the rifle. Lithos grabbed the weapon and punched the mech with his free hand. "I would rather not have to resort to violence."

"Tough!" the mech jabbed, hitting the seeker in the jaw with the butt of the rifle, sending him to the floor. He started to get up, but found it aimed at his face. "Cause that's just what I want to do." the mech said, optics narrowing. "Now." the mech growled. "Where is she!?"

Lithos almost sighed again. "I told you, she is safe."

"WHERE!!!?"

"In the southern sector, near the old communications district, building four." He knew he shouldn't have told the mech. For all he knew this carmech could have sold out to the Decepticons. Maybe he wanted... he immediately put a stop to that train of thought.

Something fell over and hit the floor with a crash in the back room. The mech turned and looked, and that second was all Lithos needed to grab the end of the gun and yank it off target at the same time as he brought up his feet and kicked the mech with all his might. The mech went flying back, and hit the floor holding his midsection that was badly dented, steam leaking out from a broken radiatior.

"Sire! Sire! What's happening!?" A little mechlet ran into the room, green optics wide. The mech waved a hand at his creation and wheezed "No, 'track, don't..." The mech looked at the seeker with wide frightened optics for a second, then turned and ran, leaving a suprised seeker in his wake.

A moment later, an energy bolt whizzed past the fier's audio. "DON'T YOU TOUCH MY CREATOR YOU CREEP!" the little sparklet screamed, firing off another shot that only hit the ceiling. Lithos blinked. Both optic ridges went up, followed slowly by the mech's hands. The sparklet was only a few dekacycles old, if not slightly more than that. Lithos started to back away slowly. "It's allright. I mean you no harm." he said gently. The sparklet's lower lip wobbled, then he dropped the gun and ran to his sire's side, trying to help him up.

That was all the chance the seeker needed. He swooped in and snatched the gun, and the sparklet jumped back with a screech. The flier eyed him for a second, then switched the rifle to his left hand, extending his right to the mech on the floor. "My name is Lithos. I am a Kinta'ari shadowgaurd. I can assure you both safety from the Decepticons. The mech winced, but nodded and took the proffered hand. "I'm Runoff, that is Sidetrack." he pointed to his son, who seemed afraid, but edged closer. The flier nodded. "We should go before the protectorate arrives. They know of Sahara's escape."

End Notes: I didn't even have any ide for a fic, I just wanted to do a bunch of unrelated scenes, but these guys just.... they kind of developed on their own. Also, I did some art a couple days ago I didn't get scanned, including two seekers, Tornado and Sahara (HEE!). I didn't know Sahara was going to be in htis fic until I had about five seconds to decide on a name for the feme in the fic (and Lithos's name is a cross between Lithium and Lithos, which a Lithos is... wait a second, let me look it up. I believe it's something like a tapestry. Anyway, Sidetrack was supposed to be Rail, but I couldn't remember it fast enough, so he got that name. And Rail might come in later.

The fic is inspired by a lot of fic I've been reading lately.

And I thought that since the Decepticons have control of Cybertron during G1, well, why not? yaknow? they could do that, and the Autobots wouldn't know better, cause they're on Earth. Plus, in the episodes they do go to Cybertron, there are no Autobots on Cybertron, Wheeljack's shop had a codelock put on the door, and there are Decepticons EVERYWHERE.
Hummm.
Lots of possibilities, no?

Oh, I looked up lithos.
Lithography: the art or progress of putting writing or designs on stone (or zinc, alluminum, etc.) with a greasy material, and of producing printed impressions therefrom.
Lithium: A soft, silver-white element, the lightest metal.

Also, since I originally did this as a songfic (meme) on livejournal, here's the meme and songs that inspired the writing.

The Meme:
Put your music player on shuffle.
write for the first ten songs that come on. Only during that song.
Stop when the song does, even if you're in the middle of a sentence.
Switch stories for each new song.

The Songs:
1. So Much For My Happy Ending- Avril Lavigne
2. I Stand Alone- Quest for Camelot soundtrk
5. TFMix (MID)- No Artist
4. Jigga What/ Faint- Linkin Park & Jayzee
3. I'd Come For You- Nickelback
6. Safe Passage- the Last Samurai soundtrk
7. Everybody's fool- Evanescence
8. Let it Rock- Lil Wayne
9. Stand my Ground- Within Temptation
10. Points of Authority- Linkin park

I cleaned it up a little too before posting it in fic format. That's why the music isn't with the paragraph it inspired. I felt like it broke up the flow of the story too much. Hope you enjoyed it!
