Stance was busy looking over his plans; pondering the problem he'd been given. The Decepticon scientist had been commisioned to create a geasult that was more ferocious and a little more independant that the one that was currently in service. The problem was not a simple one and it wasn't something that could be solved simply by different programming. The merging of minds was a complicated and very delicate process; as such it was never advisable to just throw together a group of misfits and bond them to each other. The members of a geasult had to have something in common; something that would bind them to each other.

Now there are times in a mech's life when an idea just quite litterally hits them and in this case Stance was no exception.

"Animals..." he muttered.

..."Of course!"

And with that, he started to redesign his ideas. After all, in the organic and even cybertronian world, animals always deffered to their leader; usually the strongest and smartest. If he could program animal instincts and needs into a geasult group; then by their very nature they would defer to their leader and by association to the Decepticons. He carefully designed the geasult circuitry now all he needed were the animals; fearsome creatures ones that would fight to the death if needed.

With very careful prescion he searched for suitable animal forms; after a while he picked out five. He was a little stuck for the sixth but then again Shockwave had told him he already had one of the members of the new team ready and from what he had heard of the femme she already had an animal alt-mode one of terran mythology; like two of the ones he'd already picked out. Yes animals would do nicely and it solved the problem of having to modify that femme; that rather dangerous femme.

He looked over the pictures of the animals that he'd picked out; a tiger, a wolf, a griffon, a pheonix and a bee. With a smile and a definate nod he mechanised the animals and started to design their robot modes acording to the attributes they would have:-

A tiger would make a good stealth agent so he made sure to add the invisibilty component he had aquired to it's design. It's natural stealth and hunting attributes would make it a perfect scout and if neccessary a descent sniper/hunter.

A wolf would make a good tracker but above that would be able to find injured team-mates and assist with repairing. It's natural loyalty to it's pack would always keep it on a leash and the protectivity of a wolf would enable it to protect those who were important to it.

A griffon; creature of terran mythology; yes that would make a good leader. Too bad it's body had too difficult a complication in order to make it the centre piece. Ah well, as long as it was able to keep the team under control it didn't matter. Still the griffon's natural protectiveness; an eagles keen sight and lions agility yes they would do nicely.

A pheonix; a bird of fire. Yes that would do nicely a bird of prey's natural agility in the air combined with fire resistance and flamethrowers. Ah this one would make one deadly adversary in the air. Of course he would be the main air support for the group but being a bird the phoenix would also be able to swoop in and assist in a fight if needed. The maunverablity that presented itself as possible was phenominal.

A bee heh it's ability to climb up walls and use it's stinger would make it a very interesting person capable of setting abushes and if need be a rather nifty interrorgaor due to the amount of pain it would be able to inflict. Oh yes that was a good choice as bees were subservient and much more docile than wasps; in Stance's opinion anyhow.

Yes this would be an interesting project providing he could obtain the relevant programming; after all if they were going to be animals in body they might as well be in spirit also. With one truly evil smirk the decepticon turned to his computer and contacted Shockwave.

The face of the guardian of cybertron appeared on the screen.

"Sir all is prepared I am sending you the designs now" Stance spoke with a hint of pride and smugness.

"Data received..." a pause, then "Your designs seem logical; I shall begin with the selection process"

"Thank you sir; I shall gather the required equipment and scientists"

"Very well, they shall be sent to you when required. Shockwave out"

With that last phrase the communication was cut and Stance was left sitting in his chair. Now all he needed was the equipment and the 'volunteers'. Yes everything was coming along nicely.
